Are you always busy, yet not achieving much?

DSC05058Time management is such an important issue to me that in the early days of this blog, there was a huge focus on the subject. Plus, one of my very first posts, 10 Easy Steps to Improve Time Management and Reduce Stress, was featured on Freshly Pressed, which drove tons of traffic to this blog. It was obvious to me that time management was a huge issue for people, and for the first time in my life I was excelling in that area.

I periodically updated this blog with tips on time management, as I tried out new systems and shared what worked best for me. And then there was a dry spell as I focused on other things, until I came around the other day and wrote another post on time management. There were two great comments on the post, which inspired me to expand a little on one of my replies there. How to Fall Asleep Fast: One Easy Solution

Path to Deep SleepThese are exciting times for me with my business Tribal Publishing. I’ve been running an online course that comes to a close this month on social media marketing for small businesses and authors. Now I’m preparing some free materials that will be available for download, as well as a home study course. I’m also working on some new ideas for Ready to Bloom. My head is full of ideas!

Which means that sleep often doesn’t come easily. My hypnotherapist gave me some tips and exercises on how to fall asleep quickly, but I just couldn’t concentrate on them. My business planning was just too exciting!

Then I found some guided visualizations by Wild Bliss.

I’ve been listening to two of them at night before I sleep: Cultivating Bliss and Awakening Your Dream Self. They’ve made it easy for me to relax and to fall asleep, often before the recording is even finished. And the funny thing is that ever since I started listening to them, I can’t wait to go to bed. I’ve also been waking up easily when my alarm goes off, something that’s often been challenging for me.

Since I began listening to these audio recordings, I’ve been feeling lots of happiness, excitement, and anticipation. I’ve got this great feeling that something amazing is going to happen very soon. I’m so happy with them that I’ve also ordered a personalized inner journey to help me with some of the personal issues I’ve been working on over the past few months. I’m looking forward to receiving it, hopefully by the end of this week.

I’ve found that focusing on the issue I’m working on just before falling asleep can be extremely helpful in processing the issue and in helping shift things for me. I’m terrible at remembering my dreams, but what little I’ve remembered gives me the sensation that things are shifting at night, which is great.

If you’re looking to make changes in your life, or even if you’re just having trouble falling asleep, I highly recommend these resources. These are not affiliate links, and I’m not receiving any commission from this. I’m just happy to recommend something that’s been really beneficial to me!

Another thing I need to note: the quality of these recordings is impeccable: clear voice and music, and none of that annoying noise you can get on poorly produced recordings. I also love Cara’s voice on the tracks: soft and relaxing. There have been times that I’ve downloaded recordings where I absolutely love the content, but the person’s voice just isn’t relaxing, or perhaps they speak too quickly. These are excellent quality.

Cultivating Bliss is designed to help you relax and unwind, so you can fall asleep more easily. It’s a 21 minute visualization that costs just £7 (that’s about $10 USD). Such a small investment to improve rest!

Awakening Your Dream Self is designed for those who are going through a transition in your life, who are feeling a calling to something new, or who are feeling stuck and unsure of what to do. Since I’m at a big transition phase with my business, and also with this blog, I was drawn to requesting this process. It’s a 23 minute audio process that costs just £7 (that’s about $10 USD).

Order them here.

What do you do when you consistently can’t fall asleep quickly? What solutions have worked for you?

Happy, happy 2013!

Sky4Happy 2013!! I know I’m a week late on this, but I’ve been delaying any posts here because Ready to Bloom is in the middle of a total website redesign! I’m SO very excited about this. While I mentioned this last week on Facebook, I wanted to be sure I mentioned it here.

There are so many posts in my head that I want to write, but they’ve got to stay there for now, as we’re in the process of moving the site.

Please stay in touch on Facebook in the meantime, and I promise to be back soon with a gorgeous new site!

In the meantime, I’d like to wish you a healthy, happy, and abundant 2013! What have you done so far to make 2013 your best year yet? I haven’t even finished filling out my Create Your Incredible Year workbooks + planners, and already things are coming true. Just goes to show you the value of planning what you want to happen in your life!

Best of 2012

It’s the last day of 2012, and Ready to Bloom is finishing its second year. I’d like to thank you all for reading, commenting, and retweeting my posts! And thank you for your messages. I love getting feedback on the posts here, and I also enjoy receiving requests for post ideas.
I’d also like to recap the top five posts of the year. The top post is of no surprise to me, as it’s the post that was chosen for Freshly Pressed back in January of 2011. The #2 post was also last year’s second most popular post. The next three posts are all new to this year’s Top 5 list.
  1. 10 Easy Steps to Improve Time Management and Reduce Stress
  2. When Was the Last Time You Did Something for the First Time?
  3. Where am I? Wheel of Life
  4. Q1: Who am I?
  5. Where am I? Top 3 Areas to Improve

For those of you looking to set goals or New Year’s resolutions for 2012, it may be a good idea to revisit these posts. It can be challenging to work toward our goals if we struggle with time management, or if we’re so stressed we can’t get things done. It can also be challenging to attempt to try new things when we find ourselves trapped in our comfort zone.

I wish you all a happy, healthy, and successful 2013! Thanks very much for reading.

Create Your Incredible Year 2013

200ad1It’s that time of year when people start looking to the future and thinking about their New Years Resolutions, of which 88% typically end in failure. Why? Because people don’t usually plan their resolutions as goals. They don’t break their resolutions down into bite-sized chunks and set deadlines for achieving them.

Instead of resolutions, they need a plan.

I’m a huge fan of Leonie Dawson, and for the first time this year I purchased her Create Your Incredible Year planners. I absolutely loved them! They take you step by step through the process of taking stock of 2012 and looking at what you’ve achieved. Next, you move onto planning what you want to get out of 2013. There is a workbook and a calendar for both editions: Life and Business.

I’ve already got a date with friends to do my 2013 vision board on Sunday afternoon, and I know it will be that much more effective now that I’ve worked on my Create Your Incredible Year planners. So if you need a bit of help getting started planning the year of your dreams, I highly recommend these workbooks. They’re PDF documents that you can print at home or have professionally printed. I used FilePrint here in the UK.

Order yours today!

Update: One thing that I totally forgot to mention was that I’ve ALREADY SEEN RESULTS from my Incredible Year Business Planner! Things have already started to shift and change based on some of my visions that I set down in my planner. So I know it works!

Please note that this is an affiliate link. I am recommending these planners because I’ve found them to be so useful to me that I wanted to share with others. Enjoy!
