I’m running a two hour library workshop on Monday. While I shared it on my Facebook page a couple of days ago, I realised I hadn’t mentioned it here. Basically, it’s a taster session of what will be two different workshops that I plan to run at some of the local libraries here. So there’s a lot of information packed into two hours. I’d love to see you there!

Topics include:

  • Who am I: Values
  • Where am I?
  • How to organise priorities in life
  • Where am I going: How to set achievable goals
  • Life Yoga: How to stretch out of your comfort zone into a new life

When: Monday, July 18 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm

Where: Donald Hope library
High Street, Colliers Wood SW19 2HR

Cost: Free!

Got interests? Then get going!

Are you feeling burnt out, stressed out, and generally lost in life? Do you find yourself spending your days doing things you really don’t enjoy doing at all? How long do you plan on continuing this unsatisfying life you’ve designed for yourself?

The only person in charge of your life is you, and you can stop drifting through life by choosing to take conscious action to include more satisfying and fulfilling activities in your life. The question is, are you aware of what things you truly enjoy doing?

Some people have spent so many years doing things that they really didn’t want to do that they no longer know what it is that they actually like doing. If you live your life by making decisions based on a sense of duty to others, you’re really not living your own life. You’re just being a slave to what you think others want to you to do.

Take charge of your life, and use your free time to participate in activities that you find personally satisfying and fulfilling. And if you have absolutely no idea what these satisfying activities might be, then take a bit of time to discover who you really are. What are your interests, skills, and passions?

The question is, are your top five a positive influence, contributing to your personal growth?

Make a list of your top three values in life. Then add your top three priorities. Write down whatever comes to mind first, without over evaluating them. Now, review the two lists and make sure they really are your top three. Did you leave anything out?

“The work you do while you procrastinate is probably the work you should be doing for the rest of your life.”

Jessica Hische

Are you finding it challenging to connect with your life purpose? Not clear on what you want to be when you grow up (this applies at any age)? Maybe it’s time to ask yourself the following question: what do you do when you procrastinate?
